Today.

Today, when I got home from my first day back at work, Joe had Noah in his baby carrier (like a bjorn, but cheaper), wearing this shirt (see above). And they came all the way to the first floor of the lodge to greet me.
My heart melted.
And Noah gave me a big smile and it was like all was forgiven.

And honestly, the best part of all of that was that my sweet, loving, perceptive husband knew that all of that would make my exhausting, overwhelming first day back seem not so bad, and he knew that it would make me feel loved and missed.

Thanks, Joe.

(Thanks, Noah, for that smile. I needed it.)

Man, Emz, that baby of yours has killer eyes. (In a good way, not a Javier-Bardem way.) I never thought eyes could be so large and expressive at such a young age! Thank you for keeping us up to date when I'm sure the only thing you want to do is curl up with those two cute men of yours on the couch and not think about obligations for the rest of your day. Spring is coming early this weekend & I hope you can do just that. I love you so.
