Some Nearly-Three-Month Notes:*Noah has truly LAUGHED maybe twice. He isn't doing this on a regular basis, nor do we know the magic combination of actions to get him to do so. He does, however, do a growly, low, one-syllable "eeeuuughh!" exclamation that seems to be a predecessor of a laugh. We'll see!
*He still hates tummy time, but that hate has propelled him to experiment with rolling over, front to back. He has done this multiple times, but it isn't a guaranteed performance every time.
*Noah and I have weaned from the nipple shield! This is a thin silicone device meant to help with latch, and we'd been using it since day 2 in the hospital. It never bothered me, and I was happy to use it indefinitely, but one day, we just tried it without, and Ta-Da! We've never looked back.
*He still fits comfortably in his 0-3 month clothes, with some of them even still too big! He s also still comfortably in size 1 diapers.
*His big toenails are starting to look much more normal.
*His hair on top is REALLY filling in... just in time for the rubbed-off bald spots to begin appearing on the back of his head!
*He still gets swaddled before every sleeptime. It really helps him settle down and focus on sleep.
*He holds his head up like a pro, loves to "stand" and is really good at it, and is, overall, a pretty tough, muscular little guy.
*He loves being sung to, and will sometimes "sing" along! Current favorite songs-- "Do As I'm Doing", "'Give,' Said the Little Stream", "Bingo", "Itsy Bitsy Spider", and "You Are My Sunshine"
*He has been "officially" babysat FOUR times since his grandparents left... Twice by Mary, once by Beckie, and once by our friend Kate. We've been so blessed to have such willing, generous friends!
*He loves to be read to. His current favorite books are The Hungry, Hungry Caterpillar and Moo, Baa, La-La-La!
*He gets sharper and more alert every day. We have SO much fun with him!
