Getting Outside...

Noah and I have been cooped up in this cold, so when the sun came out this morning, I bundled us up and took him out to explore Kate's yard. We looked at green and brown leaves, fox tails, icicles, rain drop patterns in the snow, octagons in the yards (the security signs staked in front of houses)... We listened to the crunch of our feet on snow. We made snowballs and threw them. We practiced identifying letters on a sign. And Noah requested a snowman... So we made a wee little snowman with the stuff we had on hand. He was delighted. So was Mai, who had to come see the snowman for himself.

It was a grand little adventure....

What a great adventure! How much snow did you get? We got a lot out here- I really wanted to go sledding yesterday but as I did not have a sled, I instead stayed inside and made significant progress on my bedroom. I'm glad Noah got to go out and play in the snow as every young child should! ;)

That is by far the cutest little snowman I have ever seen. Plus, the angle of his arms gives him a groovin sort of look.
