*this is an old post I started, but never finished.... Sad! So I am going to fill out a few details, then post it as a precursor to the ten-month post I'll post tomorrow.*
Noah at Nine Months:
Noah at Nine Months:

1.) He loves his Mirror Me book-- each page has little mirrors, and I'll angle the book so that he can see me in the mirror, and it amuses him and he presses face to the mirror to get a closer look. He'll also turn his head as he's smooshed down there to get an eyeful of the ceiling fan. he is FASCINATED.
2.) He loves the "Turtle" song... Bubble, bubble, bubble.....POP! Other favorite songs- "Popcorn Popping", "Bingo", "I Wish I Were a Little Bottle of Pop"
3.) The word "ribbit" makes him laugh
4.) He's really into finger foods- goldfish crackers, cubes of cheese, green beans, peach dices, lima beans, little pieces of chicken, wheat thins, cheerios (of course!), bagels, peas...he gets an "appetizer plate" before each meal so I have more time to prepare the actual meal!
5.) Prior to his naptime, we adjourn to his room and sit on the floor for quiet playtime. He plays with blocks, a wooden circle stacker, a little rattle, and a fun plastic shape sorter before crawling into my lap, indicating he's ready for stories before I put him down. I love this quiet time.
6.) He recognizes a few sign language signs, and has for quite some time. He'll react to "milk", "eat", "more", and "all done". So cute!
7.) He loves fountains/water of any kind. If we are on a stroller walk and go past a fountain, he gets all flail-y and kick-y and we HAVE to stop so he can dip his hands (and often his feet) into the fountain. There's one he loves right near our house, and another great one at the mall... And I have taken him to the splash fountains at nearby parks so he can get his fix by being totally immersed!
8.) He enjoys storytime . He'll sit quietly in your lap and let you read to him, as long as the words per page aren't too many.... Some favorite books right now: Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, I Love You Through and Through, Mr. Brown Can Moo, Little Gorilla, Touch and Feel Farm Animals, Noah's Ark...
9.) His favorite toys are random-- he loves a headband with attached scarf of mine with red cherries on it. If I swirl it above his head, he'll laugh and laugh. he loves the yellow round topper to a noisy, glittery star stacker. he couldn't care less about the actual stacker-- just wants the yellow topper. He loves his penguin puppet Dad bought him at the zoo. This one gets hugs from him! He loves his small, glittery yellow ball. He loves the wooden dowel base of his wood stacker. He loves the rope tie to his bag of blocks. you get the drift-- who needs REAL toys? :)
10.) He's taken to chewing the old, not-been-used-since-March binkie during diaper changes. Funny new use for the old thing!
And one more photo from his ninth month....

(Tune in tomorrow for a 10-month update with LOTS of fun photos and a new list like the one above.)

So precious! I love how much you are documenting Noah's "babyhood". Won't you be so grateful someday!?!?
Anna also loves the Mirror Me book. She even tries to give that "other" baby in the mirror her bink (she is a great sharer)!
I am a scrapbooker and have done pages in both girls' books (well, I have planned one for Anna's book) about the crazy "toys" they choose as favorites. Why do we keep buying more when, honestly, they would probably be happier playing with tupperware, spoons, and trash?
That's funny- I get the same way around fountains/running water! But unlike you, Tamara has to try hard to keep me AWAY from those things!
Your son is fantastic and wonderful- thank you for sharing him!
You are such a good mommy...look at how well you do documenting Noah's babyhood...even if it is a little late :) It gives me a good idea for Max's 11 month post -- I hope you don't mind if I borrow it...
Seriously, I don't think your child can get any cuter, but I know as soon as you post your 10 month blog, I am going to eat my words.
He is just so adorable! And sweet! I remember all my kids have enjoyed playing with tags (on blankets, stuffed animals, etc). :)
The pictures are so cute (of course)!
I love reading about all of Noah's accomplishments. Way to go Noah! I look forward to reading his 10 month post.
