The Darker Side of Nearly Two

{Noah, post-tantrum}

He's getting to that age where he gets REALLY frustrated if he can't do something the way he expected to be able to... Like stacking blocks or tucking Lamby in bed, etc... If he does it "wrong", by his standards, he gets really upset. He's also starting to push a bit more against me-- especially when he is tired. He'll ask for something like a drink of water, then when I hand it to him, he'll say, "No!" and push it away... But then when I turn away, he gets mad that I'm leaving and asks for the water again... Rinse, repeat.

It is tricky... but not intolerable. I know it is part of who he is right now, and I usually manage to stay calm and patient while he gets it worked out in his own head. We'll see if I maintain this cool after MONTHS of it, however... Ha!

Welcome to age 2, almost.

Just be prepared: I always say, whoever says they are the terrible 2's has not yet had a 3 year old!
But despite being frustrating, it is kind of cute and endearing seeing their own personality and determination come out.
