Flashback--Noah's First Birthday

Noah and Mama, post-cake-smash:Sad to say, but with the overwhelming volume of photos I've done for clients in the last several months, Noah official birthday photoshoot, his Cake Smash, kept getting pushed to the back burner for editing. Such a shame, actually, because this was something I had planned on and worked hard to make happen for AGES before his birthday. And on the actual day, things went so well!

It makes me sad that it is now nearly six months later and I am finally debuting his big birthday fun.

Ah well.... Joe and I were there. We got to enjoy the whole thing. And even if it is now the spring, at least you guys can enjoy it too, even months after the fact.

So.... Sit back... and get ready.... for Noah's Cake Smash.

Let's begin with the video (this is AWESOME behind-the-scenes stuff...):

And then, a sampling of the photos, enough to tell the tale:

(And now to confess: I took....oh, about 300 photos. I culled that number down to 218 potential photos. Then MADE myself cull it down even further to 46 photos to EDIT. Here, there, even more culled, were the 13 I felt told the story in a concise but delightful way.

I am a picture-takin' fool. I admit it.

But if the other 33 photos interest you, go to my website, www.emilysoutherland.com, click on the Clients button, and enter "cake" for the password... and you can see a slideshow of all 46 edited cake photos. Enjoy!)

Thanks for your patience on this mad endeavor.... I LOVE these photos!!

Great pictures! Love the one of him with the drool hanging from his bottom lip. He must have been on a sugar high that day! The video is so funny!

So satisfying and outrageous that you did this. I laughed and showed everyone in the house. My sister Katie says hi and thinks your so cool.
What a great series.

Those are adorable pics. We did that with our 2nd kid and 4 other one year olds. It was hilarious! I hosed my baby down after it was all over - good thing it was warm outside.
