Oh, it has been so much fun giving Noah solid food! I really didn't think I'd enjoy it as much as I do. After all, eating solids means he is growing up, and that is still unacceptable to me! *wink*
Even so, it turns out that feeding my baby avocado, rice cereal, carrots, and sweet potatoes has become one of my favorite parts of the day.
Here, for your viewing enjoyment, a few clips of our happy, good eater. In the first one, he is sitting on my lap because he had gotten so animated in his high chair while trying to feed himself that it became impossible to get any food in him. So he ended up on my lap and we just laughed and laughed as he wrestled the spoon away from us and began trying to feed himself. Only problem for him was-- the spoon isn't self-replenishing!! Baby Boy-- you have to dip the spoon into MORE FOOD to get more food!! He ended up getting pretty annoyed whenever I'd take his spoon and try to get more food on it.
This second video is a continuation of the first one. Since Noah was NOT giving up HIS spoon, we had to devise a way to get food into him. It became a frantic game of "Shovel food into his mouth with a second spoon while he is distracted by holding the first spoon to his mouth!! Shovel shovel shovel!!!"
...it got pretty messy.
And this third one is another day, capturing his post-food zone-out. He is FULL, man! Like THANKSGIVING DINNER full, ya know??
And that is just a glimpse into our ADVENTURES in EATING! Hope it made you smile a little bit! This kid always makes us smile!

Oh my goodness, that is SO funny! The double spoon trick is ingenious -- and I think I am going to have to steal it to use on Max...as I was having a similar problem tonight. And the post meal zone -- so adorable. Noah has THE most BEAUTIFUL eyes!!
I think it's hilarious when babies are caught 'fake' crying--pretending to be heartbroken until they get their hands on whatever they're coveting, and then the tears stop immediately. I know it's a sign your little Noah's getting older, but I love seeing that little trick!
I'm not sure our plans for Sunday/Monday just yet, but I'll be in touch, maybe Sat. night? Neil has a UFC-fight date in the living room, and I'm shutting myself in our bedroom for the duration. :)
It was good to talk with you Joe! Sharing this with you made us smile too! Thanks for the post!
Oh nephew! So CUTE!
Nolan was sitting on my lap while I watched those and he was fascinated! What a crack up!
