A note from Dad
I'm a rather lucky father, aren't I? During the week most of my time is spent with the little guy, and I can't help to feel like I'm getting away with something. I'm not quite sure what I like most about him. Whether it's the grin on his face when I come to get him out of his crib. Or how he give such intense attention to his toys. I really love the moments when he's tired and just plops all his weight on my shoulder and sucks on my shirt while I sing him his nap-time songs, (I am a Child of God, Families Can be Together Forever and Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star... occaisionally I'll sing the Armies of Helaman song if he's a bit upset). I love listening to The Mamas and The Papas, The Beatles (I just bought Abbey Road... Octopus's Garden is fun to sing to him), and whatever might come up on the iTunes party mix (I skip the harder stuff because I don't want to "anger up the blood" as Grandpa Simpson might say). We've recently started watching Baby Signing Time together and I try and help him make the signs, I usually do this right before he eats because the sign for milk can make him anxious for his bottle. He's eating at about every 3 1/2 hours and I believe we're aiming at stretching that to 4 and he eats about 6 oz (4 from Em, 2 formula) a feed. We've been working on sitting up and turning recently. He can go from belly to back pretty easily as long as his arms aren't at his side, He can roll to his side real easily while on his back, but is just missing out on flipping over to his tummy. His trunk strength is getting better, but he still flops forward while sitting. I'm really lucky to be getting this time with him, and I'm jealous that it'll be Em's turn with our next kids, but she's a great mommy and deserves every minute she'll get with them, just as much as she soaks in every moment with our little guy. I love them both, they are my world.

Ugh--spam on blogs! Thanks for posting, Joe--it's good to hear your take on Noah's development as well as the mama's. :)
You always had an intense ability to love Joe... started very young and is still growing... please hug Noah and Emily for me.
spam be gone! *POOF*
Joe and Emily, he is precious! I just love your little guy! Good for you, Em, for pumping. I know how hard you are working (I pumped for my first for 14 months!) and how tired you must be. You are a fantastic mother!
Congratulations on your beautiful Noah. He is precious and his face is so expressive. :)
I have a little girl named Beatriz. She was born Nov, 21st 2007, just a couple of days after your littls guy. Had she been born a little boy I would have named him Noah too. Such a beautiful name. ;)
Congratulations,
Q
PS.Just noticed his birth date on the side bar says Nov. 2008. Wouldn't that be 2007? Just in case you hadn't noticed... ;)
No... He was born in the future and we brought him back a year so we can enjoy him twice!
