Monday, January 28 Moments

Lucy: you loved this skirt and legwarmers today. You looked at yourself in the mirror and said, "Pretty!"
You ate your chicken noodle soup with your kiddie spoon like a champ, no hesitation. (Thank goodness for catch-all bibs, though, is all I'm saying.) You let baby Quinn  use the baby swing for the first time and didn't get territorial. You even seemed a bit amused by it. You put stickers on your face and mine and it was the highlight of my day so far.

Noah, you woke up so cheerful and ready to go.. You wore a robot shirt, pretty normal for you... and you let me teach you to get your own bowl of cereal today. Honey Nut Cheerios. I wonder if you'd be able to recreate that lesson tomorrow? You played with a pipe cleaner "wand" and a "halo" you made during Sacrament Meeting yesterday. You turned me into a frog. Ribbit
You "bought" a notebook and pencil with your chore tickets and spent your last few minutes before school playing "school" with your new supplies. I love how thoroughly you get into your games.

Quinn, You were a bit restless this morning between 5am and 7am... I finally went and took you to Dad and begged him to take over from 7-8 so I could get a solid hour of sleep. Dad changed your diaper, reswaddled you, tried to feed you, you didn't want it, and you crashed in his arms and both of you slept in until 9. Stinker.

Your peeling dry skin is mostly gone from your tummy and face, but your ankles and wrists are taking their turn. You got to try the swing for the first time today and seemed to like it for almost 15 full minutes. I'll be trying that again soon, for sure! You look sweet in your newborn rhino romper-- it's so tiny and you're so tiny and it's all so new. We love you, baby boy.
