Blurblets:

* photo taken last week... pretty darn current

* shirt from the kids dpt. of H&M... only at a distant mall from me, but I LOVED what I found there, so I'll be going back!

* Noah has made me smile endlessly recently (okay, ALWAYS)-- so I needed to share a few moments on here...

* When he is eating something he LOVES, he'll go, "mmmmmmmm!!!" in a hugely expressive burst. It is so funny, especially because it is unprompted and we never know what will make him do it.

* A few times recently I'll be holding him and signing to him before bedtime or naptime, and he'll do something to make himself laugh, which will in turn make me laugh (though I am trying hard not to-- trying to stay calm and quiet for the pre-sleep routine)... which will make HIM laugh again, which will make ME laugh.... It is too funny to resist. Example-- he'll lean his head back and squint at me, so I'll squint back at him, which makes him chuckle, which makes me chuckle, etc.... Or tonight, he was exploring my eyelashes and hair for the first time, and laughing at the feel of my hair in his fingers... which made me laugh at him for being so weird... and the cycle started. It is such a wonderful, spontaneous moment of connectedness. I LOVE those.

* Noah's been running a fever for the past two days--- poor guy, 102ish. so he's been extra snuggly and I admit to taking full advantage of that!

* He LOVES me singing "Old MacDonald" to him in the car, and it will keep him happy for as many animals as I can muster... And lately, "frog" has gotten an extra good reaction out of him!

* He's getting better at two-syllable words: "da-TEE" for daddy, "CA-kur" for cracker...

* When he (or anyone else *YIKES!*) passes gas, he'll sweetly say, "toot!"... quiet and high pitched. So far, he hasn't called out any strangers on it! Ha ha!

* He finally imitates a horse sound and makes the sign for it... His cat sound is REALLY good, and his dog sound is still top notch. He can say "duck" with all the consonants...

...I think that's all, for now.... Love that kid so much I don't have room to hold it in....

So fun when they start to grow up, and yet so sad. I already miss that stage with my kids. Enjoy every moment while it is here.

That picture is priceless. As Dad would say - looks like the cat that ate the canary. It is now my computer wallpaper and I smile every time I see it!

Max loves Old McDonald too -- he loves to repeat a chorus of E-I-E-I-Os over and over. We should get the boys to 'sing' together! :)
