On nearly this day last year we were:
* Trying out Jodie's sling after meeting her in person for the first time.
* hibernating in the Mason attic, much like we are doing this year
* getting acquainted both with our amazing son, and with the vastness of Being Parents.
* settling into routines we still use today
This time last year.... seems like yesterday. At the same time as seeming like a century ago.
Isn't time strange? And wonderful? And bittersweet? And the ultimate blessing?

did we really only meet a year ago??? WOW! I feel like i've known you forever... and we've only really been together a handful of times since then haven't we???

How does so much change in a year?! They grow into PEOPLE so fast! Also, he's always been adorable, hasn't he? Geez...
You speak so well to that yesterday/forever ago world that we live in as parents. Such a strange paradox.
