Ugh.

So I had these fresh peaches I had bought to make into baby food for Noah. I was going to bake them, blend them, and freeze them. But first, I thought maybe I'd try letting Noah just have one, to play with, to squish into, to explore... and maybe even to eat a bit of. So after stripping Noah down and putting on a washcloth bib, I rinsed one of the peaches off, took the first bite to give him a juicy introduction, and placed it on his high chair tray.

The photo I missed was his FIRST reaction-- and the funniest moment. He stared at it, bent down, then tentatively licked its surface.

By the time I grabbed the camera, he was over this part of the exploration, and proceeded to this:

"I'm not so sure about this thing."

"What the heck do you want me to do with it??"
"I haaaaaaaaate this! Take it away!!!!"

*sigh*

So much for delicious, succulent peaches. Maybe next summer.

oh my goodness. ha ha I probably shouldn't laugh but those pictures were priceless. Especially the last one. :0) Better stick with baking and freezing those peaches.

Too funny! He doesn't know what he is missing :) Maybe Anna should show him how it is done...she LOVES to eat (but only the real thing...never would eat anything pureed.)

It totally reminds me of Emma. She would not touch any "finger food" until she was well over a year old...very frustrating :(

Noah-

I don't blame you, sweetheart. I do the same thing when people try to make me eat fruit. Can we have a playdate soon?

Love,
genny

Yeah, I can understand that being totally confusing, bless his heart.

See if he'll eat it if you slice it up. Nolan and I share peaches all the time. I slice it up, and make the pieces more bite sized for him, and he INHALES them. It may all be in the shape. :)

Regardless, those are FANTASTIC pictures. You have such great light in your kitchen! I'm jealous.

How adorable! This was my oldest's reaction to his first birthday cake. How they defy our expectations!
